Lucky Day

This portrait captures a young woman painted with a bold sweep of rainbow light, casting vibrant hues across her face. Inspired by Peter Max’s use of bright, psychedelic colours, Edward was drawn to the energy and emotion that vivid tones can evoke. He chose to paint a rainbow stripe across the subject’s face, using fluorescent pigments as a playful exploration of colour theory. For Edward, rainbows often appear in the smallest, most unexpected moments, symbols of luck and chance.
