Honesty

This self-portrait is deeply introspective, yet it invites the viewer to step into my perspective. On the right side of the composition, a solitary eye emerges, revealing my head resting gently on my shoulder with eyes closed. The patterned fabric of my military-style jumper dissolves into rich, fluid washes of purple that pulse through the canvas. From the bottom, a luminous hand in shades of yellow and orange reaches upwards, its fingertips grazing my chin, and offering comfort, a quiet attempt to soothe my own dejection.
