Edward’s artworks are an exploration of identity, memory, and beauty blending abstraction and realism to create portraits that feel both deeply personal and resonant. His subjects are spontaneously reshaped into memories of people from his life, whether it’s someone he knows, a stranger he’s spoken to, or a public figure who lingers in his thoughts. This integration of the familiar and the unknown invites Edward to question how memory, perception, and personal experiences shape our understanding of others.

In Edward’s eyes, flowers represent not only beauty but also life’s cycle of hope, growth, destruction, and renewal. The blooming flowers articulate our enduring strength and spirit, whilst also being reminders of the fragility in life. These flowers develop a deeper connection with the subject, where the petals speak to the colours of the portrait and create a striking focal point. Edward writes, “I aim to invite viewers to explore the intimate connection between humanity and nature as they are a reminder of renewal, a new beginning amidst the cycles of life, growth, and decay.”
