Edward and his brother, Adam were filming at Etty Beach, a spot known for its cassowaries, massive birds with a dangerous claw. As they walked along the beach searching for cassowary footprints, the sunrise appeared, then slipped behind a bank of clouds, still peeking through the gaps. Edward was drawn to this scene and placed the rocks in the foreground alongside the purple sky and the red sand, all unusual features that came together in a great composition.
