Bliss

This portrait captures singer-songwriter Adrian Eagle in a moment of pure joy, looking directly into the camera. Just before this, he had been singing one of his original songs for me, overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion, even brought to tears by the experience. It was a reflection of creative fulfillment, the deep satisfaction that comes from expressing oneself fully. 

I chose charcoal and soft pastels to emphasize chiaroscuro lighting and form, creating a sense of harmony and bliss that mirrors the emotion of the moment.
